Refurbishment and Strengthening

Existing structures often need to accommodate new requirements or address deterioration identified during inspection. We develop engineering solutions for the refurbishment, modification and strengthening of overhead line towers, connections and foundations.

Starting from the assessment findings, we determine where intervention is required and develop measures appropriate to the structure. These may include member replacement, additional reinforcement, connection modifications or foundation refurbishment. We consider access, installation constraints and the effect of the proposed work on the surrounding structure.

Our checks address both the completed modification and the relevant intermediate stages. You receive calculations, details and recommendations that explain what needs to change and the conditions under which the work has been assessed. This supports informed decisions about retaining and adapting existing infrastructure.
