Construction, refurbishment and dismantling can place a structure in conditions very different from normal operation. We design temporary works for overhead line projects, including temporary towers and portals, auxiliary crossarms, support arrangements and guying systems.
Our assessments follow the proposed sequence of work. We consider changing load paths, conductor stringing forces, unbalanced loading and the support conditions at each relevant stage. For foundation refurbishment, this can include determining guy forces and the requirements for anchors that stabilise the tower while work proceeds.
The result is a documented basis for the planned temporary arrangement, with design forces, structural checks and clearly stated limitations. We work with your team to align the engineering assumptions with the intended installation method, site constraints and the equipment involved.
Typical deliverables Checks of relevant construction stages, support and anchor forces, and details for the agreed temporary arrangement.
